LNCHS SY: 2009- 2010
Another chapter in our young lives has come to an end… a chapter filled with colorful memories of high school’s adventure and struggles in meeting the challenges of life.
Distinguished guest – Dr. Runvi V. Manguera
To our respected Division Superintendent – Madam Gloria P. Potes
Honorable Mayor – Sonny Bitoin Ubana
Our beloved Principal IV- Mrs. Maria Adeline A. Lee
To our teaching force members, parents, graduates, friends, ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant afternoon.
Graduation has always been both a happy and sad experience in one’s life.
It stands for a glorious achievement one has done. Certainly, my fellow graduates, we are here to show that we have surpassed the trials and requirements in secondary education, and to recognize the achievements earned through our perseverance. We should be proud that we have gained the basic knowledge that will serve as the weapon to destroy the hindrance to our success.
Graduation also means the end of one’s happy, exciting high school life. It is not easy to say farewell after four long years of sweet and memorable association, but go we must, for our tenure of stay in this institution is over. It has prepared us for greater and perhaps more difficult, though more rewarding adventures in life.
After graduation, we must remember that this is not the end. If it were so, this graduation that we are witnessing today should have been called “Termination Exercises”. Commencement means the beginning. For it means the coming forth from secondary schooling to a higher degree of education.
As members of this graduating class, we are indeed very glad to have finally achieved our long cherished dream for having successfully completed a task for preparation to college. This is the result of our undying sacrifices and determination coupled with the untiring supports of our guiding parents, good “barkadas”, and beloved mentors.
At this momentous hour, I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge and salute those people who helped me to have a chance to be here on the stage. Greetings of love, care and gratitude for our dearest parents, teachers, friends and other people who became instruments in this greatest episode of our lives- graduation.
We owe very much our life, our growth and development from our ever dearest parents. They have sacrificed a lot just to provide us the best- the chance to use our inborn tendencies to become better and responsible sons and daughters. At times, our beloved parents instead of taking the food for themselves or thinking of purchasing something for the family, they prefer to give it to their children to make them happy. Are we aware of that? Have we realized the headaches, heartaches, and hardships of our parents, particularly in one settling that we ask for a favor or money from them? That no matter how much desire they would like to satisfy us, but always remember that not all the time they have the means like the spring, considering the continuous rising of prime commodities, parents couldn’t easily make it for us. Do we sympathize them?
My fellow graduates, we have to value our parents more than we value ourselves- for their continuous sacrifice, tolerance and kindness. Let us recognize the heroic acts and pains of our dearest father and mother. They are truly the genuine gifts of GOD who always think of our welfare.
My dear friends, it is not only our ever dearest parents whom we should greet and pay tribute but also our intelligent, hardworking, understanding and considerate mentors. Without them, it would be impossible for us to be here today in our white elegant graduation gowns. Our teachers are the source of knowledge. They serve as our parents in the school. Their job is different from our parents. Their primary function is to excite in the young a boundless sense of curiosity about life, so that the growing child shall come to apprehend it with an excitement tempered by awe and wonder. A teacher affects eternity; never tells where his influence stops as Henry Adams described them.
At this juncture my friends, we have to appreciate the unique accomplishment of our beloved mentors, their maximum tolerance for four years in our mischief, misgiving, noise, shortcoming, and teenage immaturity. Let us make them feel that we truly value the precious time we had with them- our dearest and loving teachers- we salute thee for your sharing of golden moments.
Well, my dearest parents, teachers, friends and fellow graduates- let us always look back the unflinching efforts of our beloved parents and teachers. Let us always remember the good deeds they have done to us- so that we may not be like the ten lepers in the Bible who had been cured of their leprosy by JESUS CHRIST. That only one came back to say the wonderful word of “THANKS”.
Lastly, it is the time to bid goodbye to our dear Alma Mater, teachers, classmates (WAKAGZ), and friends as well.
Thank you very much for your love and support. We will now leave this institution but rest assured that we are ready to face greater challenges with determination, courage and faith. You have made us what we are now and so to all of you who have done so much for us, maraming- maraming salamat po… Bonus meridianus! Mabuhay tayong lahat!
