Holy Trinity forms Triangle

Some believes in magic. Some do not. our existence as a person is not a magic but rather the product of grace and mercy. The worthless sacrifice brought hope to every individual. Hope to stand again to start a new one.

It’s so mysterious that the knowledge in triangles suit the Holy Three Trinity ( God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) . Triangle seems to have the greatest uses and application among other shapes.

As Aristotle put it, “Of two things or men, we say ‘both’ but not ‘all.’ Three is the first number to which the term ‘all’ has been appropriated.”…A single occurrence is of no significance. A repetition is noticeable, but might easily be the result of coincidence. A third occurrence of the same nature gives the event the impress of law….The medieval theologian makes a point of the three days entombment of Christ, for “in three days is proved all deed and fiat veritable”

Triangle shapes have the strongest foundation. They have three 3′s. Three sides, three angles, and three corners. In Bible, it might be the three temptations in the desert that emphasize that the devil is fully tempting Christ and that Jesus is fully resisting the evil one. It might be also the three days Jesus lay in the tomb. Or the three days of death and the rising should be seen as a perpendicular event, as a contrast to the preceding sufferings. Amazing, almost all the significant events in history of Christ happens with “3.” Is it coincidence or a magic?

We should then explore more 3′s in trigonometry.

It would not be possible to build a car without trigonometry. The homes we live in are built using trigonometry. Just about every piece of technology we take for granted is researched, developed, and manufactured based on some trigonometric knowledge somewhere along the line.

In a real life situation, we can assosiate trigonometry on how we face different problems.We have many choices on how can we solve this problem. And of course, you will choose the most appropriate and most convenient way. In finding the angles and sides of a triangle, we can choose what formula best fits to the given. We can use the function sin, cos, tan or its reverse reciprocal. We have many choices. All we have is to analyze first the problem before choosing what solution you are going to use.

Camp Blog Participant

In order to integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) , the Commission on Information and Communication Technology-Human Capital Development Group (CICT-HCDG) is holding its second Camp Blog at the Mimosa Leisure Estates, Clark Field, Pampanga, November 12-23.

Lopez National Comprehensive High School is fortunate to have a teacher and two students as representatives for this 11-day affair . Mr. Reynald M. Cacho, my English mentor and iSchools laboratory manager, together with me and Angelaine Yvonne S. Cantillana both from IV-FAD qualified all the requirements needed for participation in the camp.

What I like best in this seminar is how the resource speakers, organizers, and co-participants show their friendly approach. Even I’m just a beginner in this field, my fear and ignorance in blogging vanished. That’s because of the friendship developed between the learner and the mentors. I will miss this camp for the rest of my life.

I will not forget the F4 comedians in our group – Sir Zaldy, Sir Boni, Sir Ramy, and Sir Roland. And of course to my friends; energetic classroom mentor, Prof. Portia Padilla and Mr. Glenn Mark Reales; smart resource speakers; and to our supportive team leader, Mrs. Virma Pangilinan. I will never forget the moments we are together.

Kudos, you have belong in this unordinary camp. May we equip in the new generation in the advancement of 21st century digital world.

Who invented Trigonometry?

It is quite difficult to describe with certainty the beginning of trigonometry… In general, one may say that the emphasis was placed first on astronomy, then shifted to spherical trigonometry, and finally moved on to plane trigonometry.

An early Hindu work on astronomy, the Surya Siddhanta, gives a table of half-chords based on Ptolemy’s table. But the first work to refer explicitly to the sine as a function of an angle is the Aryabhatiya of Aryabhata (ca. 500 AD).

Let's take a video.

Surprisingly, I have bridged the digital divide! I am now in the flow of technology especially in ICT integration. That is- when I was introduced in the world of WordPress.

I really love most the features in adding videos as it increase the interest of the learner. It is different from classroom sessions because it can be replayed as many times as you can. Some videos are also associated with music so that viewers will not get bored. Though it is not written in text, it still provide more knowledge about the topic. You can also complement pictures and audio to create one video. How interesting it is?

Another good feature of videos is the possibility of them to have animations, graphics and texts. It enhances my skills in applying all the strategies in computer software management. In having quality video, I can apply what I have learned in ICT basics.
